How it works

A bespoke dress is entirely unique.
It is made to fit your body measurements and personal style.
We create the design with you and you get to be involved in choosing the fabrics and developing the total look as it moves from paper concept sketch to finished garment.

It starts with a meeting to discuss your ideas.
These may be magazine clippings, a Pinterest board, or images of dresses you've tried on. It is a good idea to not only look at wedding dresses, as very often the design may stem from a favourite dress you've seen or already own.
Perhaps you have seen a dress on the red carpet, maybe its trying to find a way of bringing together two different styles you like or maybe you have a completely original idea that just isn't out there yet.

Next we produce original hand drawn sketches for you and use these to create a final concept drawing.
Once you are happy with your design we can start on the exciting task of choosing your fabrics!
Often brides will have something from a family member they want to incorporate.
Perhaps a piece of lace, or veil, or just a simple button from a mother's or grandmother's dress.
This is the perfect time to work out how it can be included, whether big or small.

There will then be a toile fitting, which is a mock-up of the dress made in a basic fabric.
This is to get the fit right and also allows the design to be tweaked. For example, a longer sleeve, adding a belt, or increasing the volume in the skirt.
The beauty of having a dress made bespoke is that it allows you to get exactly what you want.

We will then make your dress in the real fabrics and have another fitting to make sure everything is perfect.
At your final fitting you will be able to take your beautiful dress home.

This will be at least 2 weeks before your wedding date. (Please let us know if you are travelling for your wedding and need your dress earlier)

In order for there to be plenty of time to get your dress perfected, we need to begin at least 9 months before your wedding date.
If it will be 6 months or less, contact us for more information about your options.

We price our bespoke dresses on a case by case basis as there are so many variables involved.
The first consultation is free. After this we will sketch some designs for you. For this we take a £250 commitment-free fee. Then once you are happy with the design, we can generate an estimate cost and take a 30% deposit which will get the pattern and toile process started.

Prices start at £2500.
Average bespoke costs £3000 – £5000
