Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams" is a very appropriate title for this exhibition. This weekend we finally made it down to the V&A to see it and we were not disappointed. We had previously travelled to Paris in 2017 to see the same exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and were completely blown away by the size of the show, and just how well curated it was. The wonderful thing about seeing it again was that there were a few different pieces on display that were not in Paris, but mainly just the chance to see the beautiful pieces again. It's so inspiring for us as not only designers but also as makers to see the incredible workmanship that goes into every aspect of each piece. The hundreds of hours it takes to hand sew on tiny little silk flowers, or the skill that goes into complex panelled dresses keep our creativity well-fed...and hungry for more!
It is impossible to pick any favourites so we have just got a small selection of some of the highlights.
